today mah..quite alright during work.

went to work at 3.
did all the usual mise-en-place.
help ah tong and balan wif gardemange and went to lunch.

came down and ah tong taught me how to open oysters!
they'r really a hard thing to master.
i took like..4 mins to open 1.
finally opened 5!
while ah tong already opened 1 box liao.

thats the difference between sous chef and kitchen trainee.
but nvm!i shall improve (:

den ah tong wana test my potato peeling skills again.
i used to take 37mins to peel 15 potatoes.

i only took 7 mins.
he was greatly impressed.

den ah ling and ah kong was teaching berg how to use a wok.

chef ho is ard 30+ 40 i think.quite shuai looking.
got 3 sons,aged 7,9,10.
he looks at his sons play maple everyday and got addicted himself. -.-"
he's a dam straightforward person,talks like an ah beng,but infact,he's really a dam nice person.

den he wans complaining abt how ppl ask him cc pls.
and how nick sabo him by making him re-creating alot of characters due to pumping wrong stats.
it was dam hilarious.

8.30,mckern felt left out as he din hav anything to say regarding maple.
he came into the cold kitchen and ask me go out check on the buffet.
the key point was,
it wasnt necessary.he only wanted me to get out of the cold kitchen so that he could change the topic.
den after i left,they were chatting abt going cruise later after they end work.

chef ho didnt went,he was scared to let his wife find out.
so he went back home to maple.
i went home and met up wif him in maple,gave him lotsa stuffs,brought him to new maps,gave him free fame and he was dam happy.

jiuhu was at dnd last night,he was my only information source loh.
according to him,

all the lights were dimmed at 6.30pm
GM of carlton dressed up like 周潤發 in 上海滩 movie.
wearing shades,lighting his cigar with a 100 US$,throwing it aside and entered empress room on the red carpet.

OMFG.

den it was the managers turn,some dressed up like MIB (men in black).
xin ning frm HR dressed up like a pirate!

there's 1 even wore his undies outside as superman.

the most shiok part is,

i was invited.



but i couldnt attend.

this morning wilson woke me up frm my dreamland.
called me at 11 and demanded i go work immediately.
and my shift starts at 3?

nvm lor,i went.
thought very busy,den so happy.finally got things to do.
go there ah,NOT BUSY AT ALL LOR.
and cold kitchen was like overcrowding.
totally no need for me there wad.

den it was 3.
all those who were able to attend dnd left liao.
i realised all those left in the kitchen de all very ngam wif me 1.
so still not bad la..none that i dun like.
all the dun like de all on top enjoying their stupid dnd le.

they had a party upstairs.
so we decided to hold 1 DOWNSTAIRS.
yup,IN THE KITCHEN.
beers were brought in JUGS by JUGS.
after awile,80% of the chefs all face red and abit steam steam liao.

duno wat happen la,all started talking gibberish.and some service staff attitude changed alot oso.
thanks to the alcohol.
den ah tong and ah ho (both sous chef) asked me to drink oso.
cus i was the only 1 left in the kitchen who didnt drink.
they forced the cup to my mouth,i took a sip and i nearly spitted it out.

IT WAS SUPER GAS-Y AND FREAKING BITTER.
ah ho told me i was feeling down.

was sort of stunned for a few mins,b4 helping her to cut the whole rack of roasted pork.
